Online Bachelor's Degree Programs in Nursing
According to the American Nurses Association, a bachelor's degree in nursing is designed to prepare you for the full scope of nursing practice across a range of health care settings. The first two years of study often cover topics like these:

While two-year associate degree programs in nursing are available, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics notes that students seek bachelor's degrees to qualify for more complex, advanced jobs in the field, including administrative positions, research, consulting and teaching.

Accelerated online bachelor's degrees in nursing can be completed in three or four years. Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or BSN, programs often attract working nurses who want to broaden their credentials. Registered nurses or licensed practical nurses may seek nursing degrees online that allow them to work while they study.
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing reports that not all nursing programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
