Online Education Gaining in Popularity

Research conducted by the Sloan Consortium indicates that online learning is becoming increasingly popular. In 2003, a survey of academic leaders indicated that 57% of respondents rated online learning programs equal or superior to traditional face to face learning. This percentage increased to 63% in 2004.

Online Learning Programs Enhance Career Potential
If you're skeptical about the course content of online education programs, you may want to reconsider. As the popularity of online college degree programs increases, research indicates that employers do not view online degrees negatively. If you want to earn a college degree online, it's important to make certain that your online education program is accredited. Shop carefully for your online education program and school, and you can enjoy a quality learning experience with the added convenience of flexible scheduling and learning at home.

Online Learning Continues to Grow
Online education is particularly popular among undergraduate students. In 2004, 2.3 million students were taking at least one course online, and this number increased to 3.1 million in 2005. Working adults are often well-suited to online education, as they typically have the time management and organizational skills needed to achieve success in online learning. As educational technology advances, it's likely that enrollment in online degree programs will continue to increase.
