Pressure from parents: Do students need more of it?
From social to academic, there is no doubt that today's students are under pressure. But is it enough? Not according to the American public. A recent Pew Research Center study reports that 6 in 10 Americans believe that parents do not put enough pressure on their kids. And the majority of the world agrees. Students, on the other hand, do not. In fact, a survey of students at top high schools reveals that many of them are worried about grades, tests and college acceptance, and don't need any additional pressure.
