The task of biomedical engineers is mainly to create appliances that help in combating health and medical problems. They do this by fusing engineering with medicine and the biological science. The task of biomedical engineers is to research and develop systems for the betterment of the health of people. They help in creating artificial limbs, organs etc. Some examples of biomedical engineering are ultrasound, x-ray machines, lasers for correcting eye ailments, etc. Some engineers specialize in internal fields like biomechanics.
