Agricultural Engineer

Job Summary:
Agricultural Engineering is all about creating machinery for increasing crop harvests. Agricultural Engineers are also involved in bioprocess, creating agricultural structures, power systems and the like. They also work to improve ways to maintain soil, manage water resources etc. Researching and developing ideas for the betterment of Agriculture is the main aim of agricultural engineers.

Qualification:
A bachelor's or master's degree in Agricultural Engineering is essential. A Ph.D. is also useful.

Agricultural Engineers usually end up in jobs as consultants providing their services to industries, which are related to farming or to farmers directly. Various other industries like poultry and livestock management, crop maintenance etc hire Agricultural Engineers. The Government also hires Agricultural Engineers.

Salary Range:
On an average an Agricultural Engineer fresher earns around $35,000. A master?s degree holder can expect to start around $50,000. Again the more experienced you are the more you can get in this field.
